A big thank you to these fine elected officials and public figures who have expressed their support for my candidacy to become Seminole County’s next commissioner. If you want to add your name to this growing list, please contact me!
Jim Turney – City Commissioner, Altamonte Springs
“Don’t underestimate Andre Klass” was the first thing I ever heard about this man and he has proven that to be true! The people of Seminole County should elect Andre Klass and expect him to serve with distinction, but even that may be an underestimate of what Andre Klass will deliver when elected.
Andre Klass isn’t from the insider, privileged or wealthy class that usually win our votes. Andre is in a class by himself in this field of candidates. His youthful vigor and visage belie the maturity of his vision.
I proudly endorse Andre Klass, born and raised in Seminole County with a long future in our leadership.
Brian Sackett – Deputy Mayor, City of Longwood
I met a wonderful young man during our city’s annual Christmas Parade last winter, and I heard in his voice an enthusiasm for the office of Seminole County Commissioner in this year’s election. His name is Andre Klass and at this time I am endorsing him as a candidate for this office. He seems to have been everywhere lately as he inundates himself with all aspects of the greatness of Seminole County. I saw him at commission meetings in Lake Mary, in Sanford, speaking out to protect the rural areas of Seminole County, meeting everyone possible inclusive of our firefighters, police officers, local politicians, and concerned business people.
He learned about our concerns as he raised signatures requisite of being placed on the ballot, and promises to be fiscally frugal and attentive to the needs of our residents. He is relentless in his pursuit of understanding, and focused on being compassionate. This compassion, intellect, and an ability to listen and do what is best are attributes of Andre Klass, and I without reservation endorse him for the office of Seminole County Commissioner.
Jason Kirby – Seminole Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor
When I first met Mr. Klass well over a year ago, I was running my own campaign for Seminole Soil and Water and he was tirelessly collecting candidate petitions (one of which I gladly signed). After a short conversation, there was no question that this man was dedicated and willing to put in the work to get his name on the 2020 ballot. Fast forward to now… Andre has exceeded the 3,000 candidate petitions necessary to officially qualify in this race, guaranteeing his position as the Libertarian Party candidate for Seminole County Commission District 5 in the 2020 general election! Andre has an amazing story and his track record of overcoming odds is nothing short of inspiring.
As a champion of environmental conservation in our county, I am more than confident that Andre would do everything in his power to act as a steward of our various and unique ecosystems. Furthermore, Mr. Klass has been vocal about his opposition to the erosion of protections to our ‘Rural Boundary’ put into place by the voters. As far as the values that Andre would bring to the commission, I think Andre says it best: “Accountability and responsibility are some of my closely held moral values which led me to where I am today, and advocating to better implement these traits within our government is deeply important to me.” As current Group 1 Supervisor of the Seminole Soil and Water Conservation District, I, Jason Kirby could not be prouder to support and officially endorse Andre Klass for Seminole County Commission, District 5.
Abby Shoemaker – City Commissioner, Longwood
When I met Andre Klass in 2018, he had already hit the ground running seeking petitions to qualify for his 2020 run for the District 5 seat of the Seminole County Commission. His enthusiasm and work ethic are undeniable. He has attended practically every event in the county, discussing his platform and listening to thousands of citizens’ concerns throughout his journey.
He is prepared to work hard to maintain transparency and accountability, and most importantly serve Seminole County with care, fiscal conservatism, and dedication. I endorse Andre Klass for the office of Seminole County Commissioner, District 5, in the November 3, 2020 election.
Ed Young – Seminole Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor and Chairman
Mr. Klass,
As a longtime resident, teacher, and elected official in Seminole County, I am pleased to offer you my endorsement for Seminole County Commissioner for District 5.
Seminole County is a county rich with diverse backgrounds and viewpoints and it needs and deserves leadership that will respect and consider both when making decisions on behalf of its residents. During your campaign, I’ve personally witnessed you cross party lines and build relationships to make our county stronger and more unified. Instead of relying on old solutions that may or may not work, you are willing to think outside the box and look for new solutions to address budgetary concerns without raising taxes.
Often times we get too wrapped up in national politics and forget how much impact local government impacts our daily lives. To serve and represent the residents of Seminole County, we need county commissioners who are not beholding to party politics or the guiding hand of developers and special interest groups and you are the candidate for the job.
It is with these reasons in mind that I am proud to offer you my endorsement. I wish you luck and Godspeed in your upcoming election.
Sincerely,
Ed Young, M.Ed
SSWCD Chair & Group 4 Supervisor

Andre is the example of what our public schools can do. We are so proud of him, and we need him advocating for us all as a Seminole County Commissioner!
Jordan Marlowe – Mayor, City of Newberry
I am pleased to endorse Andre Klass as your candidate of choice. We need fresh faces, with fresh ideas, in leadership positions to meet the challenges ahead of us. Andre is energetic, creative, and caring, and as the Mayor of my hometown, I can tell you those are the qualities of a true leader.

Jim Gray – Former Superior Court Judge
I wish to congratulate Andre on being a positive and hard-working candidate, and I am proud to endorse his candidacy! I have found Andre to be very passionate about making a positive impact. He is active, engaged, hard working, motivated, well principled, and open to listening to citizens of all ends of the political spectrum. He has developed a strong track record of success while successfully applying Libertarian philosophies to mainstream political issues, exceeding expectations all along the way! Go Get ‘Em!
Spike Cohen – Libertarian Vice-Presidential Nominee
Andre Klass is running for Seminole County Commission in Florida. His top priority is to go back to basics and focus on the three fundamentals of responsibility, transparency, and accountability, empower the citizenry with more knowledge and involvement in the process and be the best servant possible for the people. The elected leaders in Seminole County have made tax increases their immediate go-to for every situation, while continually doling out tax money for special interests, corporate welfare, and pork projects, including a $5.5 million road to nowhere. Andre Klass has decided to step up and fight for things to change. I am proud to endorse Andre Klass for Seminole County Commission, District 5.
Dr. Jo Jorgensen – Libertarian Presidential Nominee
